Chocolate Orange Bliss Balls (Gluten, dairy and nut free)
Ingredients:
150g medjool dates (pitted)
75g sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
25g desiccated coconut (plus extra for rolling)
Zest of 1 orange
Juice of 1/2 an orange
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Pinch of ground nutmeg
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp coconut oil
Pinch of sea salt
Method:
Place your sunflower seeds into a food processor and blitz until they have broken down and have a flour-like texture.
Add in remaining dry ingredients and blend until fully combined - it should come together to make a sticky paste.
Pour in your juice and coconut oil and blend until smooth. Using your hands, roll about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into bite-sized balls.
Roll each ball in extra desiccated coconut for a festive touch.
Chill in the fridge for 30 minutes to firm up, then eat and enjoy!
N.B You can store in the fridge, keeps for about one weeks, or freezer for about one month.
